- During the late 90's, Britney was known as the "Pop Princess" for all her hit singles including "...Baby One More Time."
- Britney has used the alias "Alotta Warmheart" when checking into hotels.
- In her first starring role in film, Britney's character was supposed to swear. Britney ordered that the curse words be taken out so not to tarnish her image for the younger pre-teen viewers of her movie.
- In April 2007, Britney attended an LA Lakers game in disguise, but was caught by the paparazzi. She was wearing a giant Kobe Bryant jersey, a blonde wig and a giant pair of sunglasses.
- For the movie Chicago, producer Harvey Weinstein wanted Britney for the role that eventually went to Lucy Liu. Britney was also offered a role in Scary Movie but was forced to turn it down, due to concert scheduling. She was considered for the part of Allie Hamilton in The Notebook but was beat out by Rachel McAdams. She also lost the role of Daisy Duke in the Dukes of Hazzard to Jessica Simpson.

Britney is back to work, not producing music but rather making an appearance on CBS’s How I Met Your Mother. In the episode airing March 24, the pop star plays a receptionist at a dermatologist’s office, and she falls for one of the show’s main characters, played by Josh Radnor. Britney wrapped two days of filming last week, receiving praise from the show’s cast. “She was hilarious in the table-read, and I got to see her do the run-through as well, and she was great,” cast member Jason Segal said.
Pop superstardom began for Britney Spears in 1998 when she sported Lolita-like pigtails and naughty schoolgirl garb for "...Baby One More Time." Since then, she has become her own industry, generating record-shattering sales and iconic music videos and performances.Although Spears initially promoted a good girl image, she lost her much publicized virginity to former N'SYNC-er Justin Timberlake before her 55-hour Las Vegas marriage to childhood pal Jason Alexander in 2004.
That same year, she married backup dancer Kevin Federline, which produced two sons and a 2006 divorce. Spears hit the party scene to an extreme and exhibited some bizarre behavior that led to a rollercoaster stint in rehab. While enduring a well-publicized custody battle with Federline, Spears broke under pressure in 2008, lost custody of her sons, and ended up in (and out) of hospital under mental lockdown, as her parents battled Spears' constant confidant Sam Lutfi over who decides what is best for Spears.
